Summer Running Tips
Summer runs can be some of the most enjoyable and rewarding. With longer days and warmer weather, there are numerous opportunities to get out and enjoy a good run. Some tips to help enjoy the summer:
- Run early in the morning, when temperatures tend to be cooler and air quality is better.
- Hydrate well throughout the day. You will be better off than drinking a large amount just before your run.
- Dress appropriately for the weather. Light clothing that wicks moisture and protects from the
sun will keep you more comfortable. - Be flexible with your running schedule. With lots of activities happening, being able to juggle your run times or distances will help keep you on track.
- Carry water. With higher temperatures and humidity, having water will keep you better hydrated and cooler. This will also help your performance.
- Set a goal. This will help keep you motivated throughout the summer months.
