For this issue of SportsXpress, we asked some of the athletes and parents of the Power Cheer Gym what cheerleading and training at PCG means to them. Here are some of the comments…

“I like cheerleading because it is empowering for girls. You learn to work and trust one another. You have to work together to make it all happen, and it pushes you to be your best.” Kadence, 12 (Thorndale)

“I love the gym because when I’m there I feel at home. And I love to cheer because it gives me confidence and teaches me what hard work and teamwork can achieve.’ Jordyn, 10 (London)

“Cheerleading has made me stronger, and I have built strong friendships with girls who are like sisters to me because we all work together to obtain the same goal. This is a sport that makes me happy and feel confident because the coaches are really good and believe in me.” Kelsey, 10 (Thorndale)

“When I am down, cheer makes me happy! It gives me strength.” Ella, 11 (London)

“It’s fun. You get to perform in front of hundreds of people with a group of your friends. Cheer has taught me to stop saying ‘I can’t.’ If I want to do something, I have to keep trying.”Riley, 11 (Wellburn)

“My daughter loves the gym! She has always been athletic, but this is the most motivated I have ever seen her.  Cheer really clicked with her.” Cheer Mom C (Woodstock)

“My daughter has had a wonderful experience with the Vipers over the last two years. PCG has some really talented coaches, and they are so great with the kids. Keep up the excellent work!” Cheer Mom L (London)
