Developing gymnasts for life

London Beje Gymnastics is all about providing gymnastics programs and skills development while helping to develop self-esteem and confidence that youngsters can then carry with them for the rest of their lives.

London Beje Gymnastics offers recreational and competitive gymnastics programs for both boys and girls. Kids can start as early as 18 months of age and continue into their teenage years.

Beside kids programs, the club also offers ‘Open Gym’ for adults who would like to stay in touch with gymnastics or want to learn some basic skills or develop their existing skills.

Beje Gymnastics runs four sessions per year for recreational athletes, including: Fall (Sept. to Dec.); Winter (Jan. to Apr.); Spring (May and June); and Summer (July and Aug.). Summer camps and birthday parties are available as well.

The Gymnastics club offers a family-oriented environment, where every member feels the love for the sport, and where kids can enjoy coming to practice without feeling pressure. The club’s goal is to build confidence and self-esteem in youngsters who will then be able to transfer their knowledge, skills and experiences from the gym into their life later on.

Who runs the club? It’s Nick Bejenaru, a former Olympic athlete who was a member of the Romanian gymnastics team at the 1988 Seoul Olympics and the 1992 Barcelona Games. Bejenaru also competed at the 1989, 1991, 1995 World Championships, earning a bronze medal in 1995 in Sabae, Japan.

A pretty impressive gymnastics resume, to be sure. Before moving to Canada in 2000, Bejenaru coached the men’s Romanian Junior Team for three years. Once in Canada, he coached at the St. Thomas Gymnastics Club for five years before opening London Beje Gymnastics that same year.

A member of Gymnastics Ontario, London Beje Gymnastics provide quality Artistic Gymnastics programs in a safe and positive environment. Kids are encouraged to learn and develop balance, flexibility, body strength, motion of skills and a good gymnastics foundation.
