RuRun clinic season is quickly coming to a close, and after another successful year of training it is now time to start planning for 2016. Over the past year, our coaches have helped more than 250 runners and walkers reach their goals.
This past year was highlighted with too many successes to mention; from beginners completing their first 5k, runners reaching their own personal goals, and runners qualifying for the Boston Marathon. The upcoming year of clinics looks to be bigger and better than ever before, with new training options for the athlete within everyone.
The biggest addition to our clinic offerings for 2016 will be our Learn to Urban Pole Walk clinic. Urban poling is an amazing workout for those that want more than just walking; burning 46% more calories than just walking. Our certified instructor will teach you the proper technique and make your workout more than just a walk in the park.
With the half marathon being one of the most popular race distances in North America, our new focus on this distance will give runners of all abilities the perfect clinic to help them reach their goals. Our other clinics continue to grow and offer excellent coaching and advice for runners.
What are current clinic members saying about our groups?
• “I got my exact goal time I set out for in the spring, and I can’t be happier!” — Liz D.
• “Such wonderful support and advice from so many runners truly made for the best race I have ever had.” — Jennifer G.
• “This group truly has great people, and without the support this weekend there’s no way I would have been able to run the time I did with how I felt Saturday morning. Great weekend, and let’s do it all over again in a few months.” — Paul A.
