The 6th Annual “Showdown in the Downtown” event was a rousing success. Held at Budweiser Gardens, this year’s event was an evening of fundraising to fight kidney disease and improve patient outcomes after solid organ transplantation. The money raised (more than $12,000) will support the Matthew Mailing Centre for Translational Transplant Studies, the Kidney Clinical Research Unit, the London Health Sciences Foundation, and the Kidney Foundation of Canada. The Provincial Fighting Championship put on a 10-fight card featuring former UFC fighter Jesse Ronson and London fighter Jesse Gross.
