London Gymnastics Academy kicked off its 2015-2016 competition season in mid-November in Quinte Bay for
the Tour Selection Meet. Congratulations to our LGA athletes for placing in the top 8 all around! Alena Beniamin placed 4th to earn a spot on the Level 8 Ontario Team, while two Level 9 athletes, Rachel Simpson and Kayla Sanidad, earned a spot on the Level 9 Ontario Team. Rachel placed 7th all around and Kayla placed 1st!

The first-place finish secured a Team Coach position for Jen Kraemer (Head Coach and owner of LGA), and she
led the Level 9 Ontario Team to success! These athletes then traveled to Phoenix, Arizona, to represent Team Ontario at the 2016 Arizona Grand Invitational Competition the weekend of January 22-24.

And LGA brought the HEAT in Arizona! Kayla Sanidad placed 1st overall and Rachel Simpson placed 3rd in the
Level 9 category, while Alena Beniamin placed 3rd overall in the Level 8 category. Congratulations to all of these Team Ontario athletes and coaches. Wow! A job well done by our LGA superstars!

LGA’s competitive gymnasts also had an amazing 1st Qualifier on Nov. 21-22 at Rose City Gymnastics in Windsor,
and an outstanding 2nd Qualifier on December 4-6 at Burlington Gymnastics. The team had one more qualifier in
February, and all hope to make it to the Ontario Championships later this year. We wish all of our athletes the best of luck for the remainder of the season!

It’s a busy time at LGA! In addition to our successes at competitions, LGA celebrated Canadian Gymnastics Week
during the week of February 6-13. The week was a joint effort between Gymnastics Canada and all of its members to increase the awareness of the sport and to celebrate the positive benefits of gymnastics in all its forms. It brought together thousands of Canadians of all ages and levels who participate in gymnastics, and encouraged all other Canadians to try the sport. Check out our I LOVE GYM photo!
