The COVID-19 pandemic has been a tough time for many businesses, and many have had to adapt to new and changing delivery methods. Olympic Karate has been doing online classes using Zoom – and has since adapted again.
In August, we moved our location to a different space to accommodate online classes as our current main media stream. Starting August 17, we also began classes outside in a public park, and we have been hosting some of our classes (weather permitting) at Victoria Park near the Holy Roller tank. We are still offering our Zoom classes (broadcasting from the park), as some students will not be able to attend in person. Classes are offered during the regular scheduled time, and there is no additional cost for these classes.
We are working out and practicing together while safely keeping our distance and having fun. Parking downtown is available by request. Please contact Master Steve for more details. Master Steve is leading the classes as well as hosting the Zoom classes.
We have chosen to go in this direction for the safety of our students and staff while still being able to see each other in person. Uniforms are optional and face masks are recommended. You can train in whatever you feel comfortable! Exercising outside is also great for getting fresh air and allows the instructor to help students more easily while keeping everyone safe.
