We want to offer special congratulations to our student Rob Patterson. Although a student at our dojo, Rob is a supply teacher with the Thames Valley District School Board. As a lover of all things sports, Rob volunteers his free time to help coach many different youth teams. He has coached the University Heights basketball team for the past four years, and he is currently the assistant coach for Jean Sauvé’s basketball team. He has also been coaching the U7 NorWest Soccer squad for the past few years.
Rob is an avid golfer and spends his time supporting our local city courses. Recently, Rob received a nomination from principal Joe Sheik as an outstanding volunteer in the London Sporting Community and an invitation to the Volunteer Recognition Event. As his nomination stated, “without you (Rob), sports and recreation in the City of London would not exist, and you have played a vital role in creating a safe environment for kids in sports.”
Rob currently trains with his children, Carter and Mackenzie, at our dojo. We want to say thanks to Rob for helping others be their best, for providing inspiration and guidance to London’s youth, and for being an exemplary father and husband. Congratulations Rob, and good luck on your quest to be a Black Belt!
