Karate is so much more than simply learning how to fight better. It is a philosophical belief, a system of discipline, a method of protection, and an off-season training method. An off-season training method? That’s right, karate can be a great way to stay in shape and in top form during the fall and winter sports offseason!

Hockey, and other winter sports, require peek physical fitness, calculated coordination, flexibility and focus. Karate is a wonderful compliment to the skills required for many sports, and the practice of karate can help to maintain the skills developed in other sports and the discipline required to remain a healthy athlete. Olympic Karate has classes and private lessons that run all spring and summer, as well as a summer day camp to keep you fit and focused.

Our dojo is an ’everyone is welcome’ environment. We encourage all who haven’t tried a karate class to come in and try for free. If you’re nervous or intimidated, we want you to know that we will do our best to make you feel welcome and included. The only thing not welcome is a bad attitude.
