The Family Karate Competition Team had five team members travel to Ottawa to compete in the WKC National Team tryouts in May. The team was made up of Jake, Nathan, Athena, Eccaia, and Dana, and all five members qualified for at least one event! They are now eligible to complete in the WKC World Championships in Orlando this November. Way to go!

This spring also saw our team members participate in two charity run/walks. The first was the Kids Help Phone ‘Walk So Kids Can Talk’ event on May 7, and the second was the Brain Tumor Walk on June 11. The team put on fantastic demonstrations to entertain and amaze the crowds. They also led warm-up activities prior to the run/walks.

As always, all members of the team demonstrated tremendous generosity and sense of community. Thanks also goes out to the parents of the team members who helped make these initiatives possible!
