LGA shone brightly at the 2016 Ontario Championships held April 7-10 in Mississauga. We are so proud of all our athletes and commend them for their hard work, determination and beautiful performances!

Five of our amazing athletes earned positions on Team Ontario and will be heading to Quebec to compete at Eastern Canadian Championships on May 5 – 8! One of our LGA stars, Bailey Inglis, placed first overall, winning all four of her events to earn a well-deserved spot on Team Ontario as well as secure a Team Coach position for Jen Kraemer (Head Coach and Owner of LGA). In addition, LGA also had four other athletes earn a spot on Ontario teams. Kayla Sanidad, Level 9, placed first all-around, earning another Team Coach position for Jen Kraemer, while Rachel Simpson (Level 9) placed second all-around, and Alice Zaric and Alena Beniamin (Level 8) also placed second all-around in their respective age divisions. They will also be proudly representing LGA on Team Ontario.

On a special note, our three Level 9 athletes won the coveted team competition at Ontario Championships. This is determined by using the top three scores from each team, and with only three scores to use, these girls took the prize!

Special congratulations to Chloe Burridge, Level 9, for placing second all-around and qualifying to represent Team Ontario at the Canadian Championships to be held in Edmonton, AB from June 1-5, 2016.

We wish all of our LGA Superstars the best of luck at Easterns and Canadian Championships! LGA ALL THE WAY!

Heat Cheerleading

Ring the alarm for London’s hottest team: 5 Alarm! Congratulations are in order for the athletes of London’s only Level 5 All-Star Cheerleading team this season. These spirited athletes have trained persistently to achieve the new skills required to compete in the National Championships. And all their hard work paid off when they came home with the second place trophy!

Coach Jamie has nothing but praise for the team: “We knew going in that it was going to be a hard push to get this team ready, but this has been a goal we’ve been striving to achieve for the past few seasons,” she said. “To have helped team 5 Alarm achieve their skills for the chance at National Championships was a dream come true; to come home with a close second-place standing their first time on the National floor was truly inspiring to witness. It just goes to show what hard work, dedication, and a little (or a lot of) sweat can achieve.”
