The competitive golf season has been full of great experiences and success for local golfers. Team London golfers have been preparing and competing at local, provincial and national events this summer. The following are a few highlights:
Carson – started July at the national CN Future Links Atlantic Championship in Prince Edward Island. The conditions had high winds, as Carson posted a 75 in the 2nd round and finished T62 of 85 golfers. The following week Carson competed in the provincial Golf Ontario Junior Championship with rounds of 78 and 85 to miss the cut.
Cam – participated in the Ontario Summer Games in Mississauga. Opening rounds of 76 and 81 left him just at the cut line. A third round of 76 in difficult conditions was impressive to finish T35 of 60. A few weeks later, Cam finished 1st at the MJT Whistle Bear Championship with rounds of 73 and 71.
Colin – victorious at the Highland Junior Open on the local Tyson Tour. For the season, Colin was in 2nd in the junior division entering the final event.
Team London visits Seaforth – Nine juniors aged 10 to 14 participated in the Seaforth Junior Invitational. Congratulations to Paige for winning closest to the pin!
