Congratulations to Alena Beniamin and Helene Bouffard of London Gymnastics Academy’s Provincial programs!  These hardworking athletes qualified in the Top 8 All Around Tour Selection competition to go on and represent Team Ontario on January 11-18, 2017 at the Lady Luck Invitational Tour Competition in Las Vegas, Nevada. LGA and Team Ontario had several outstanding performances and finishes. We are so proud of Alena (Level 9) for placing 1st All-Around, and Helene (Level 7) for placing 7th All-Around. Team Ontario rocked the house with the Level 7 Team taking home the 1st Place Team Title, and the Level 9 Team coming in as the 2nd highest scoring team! We are so proud of them!

Additionally, London Gymnastics Academy will be represented at Canada’s National Competition! Two of LGA’s National Level athletes, Bailey Inglis (age 11) and Chloe Burridge (age 13), the only High Performance National Level gymnasts in all of London, Ontario, stepped up and hit the mark at the prestigious Elite Canada competition held February 2-5 in Halifax, NS. Elite Canada is one of the primary national competitions which brings together the top National Level athletes from across Canada from the Novice, Junior and Senior age categories. In Women’s Artistic Gymnastics (WAG), gymnasts in each category compete to seek qualification for High Performance status, which gives them the right to compete at the Canadian Championships!

With Inglis placing 4th All Around and Burridge placing 18th All Around in the Novice category, both of these hardworking athletes have earned High Performance Status and qualified for National Championships on May 23-28 in Montréal, QB. Congratulations to Bailey and Chloe. We wish these girls the very best in the coming months as they prepare for Championships!

London Heat is making the climb to Summit!

We are excited to announce that this May the London Heat Flash team (Youth Level 3 Ages 11 and under) will represent London Heat programs in Florida at The All-Star Cheerleading Summit! These athletes have worked very hard to receive a bid to this prestigious competition. Only five percent of all teams in North America are honoured with this opportunity!

At their recent competitions in Buffalo and Detroit, London Heat teams brought home seven Grand Championships! We are excited to build off this momentum and work to improve our scores throughout the coming months!

London Heat Cheerleading is always expanding and striving to succeed. If you are interested in competitive cheerleading, tryouts will be held in May for the 2017-2018 competition season!
