Season Seven, the year of the Royal Rising, is well underway. All summer, the competitive teams at the CheerStrike gym have been working hard learning their routines and training new skills. The gym was a busy place every week in August with choreography camps. We are looking forward to seeing these routines on the competition floor, starting in November, when the Royal family travels to Sandusky, Ohio for our first competition at the Kalahari Resort.
In September, we begin our regular practice schedule for our competitive teams and begin a new Fall Session for all our amazing classes. This fall we’ll be offering recreational cheer and tumbling classes for children of all ages (from 18 months to 12 years old). Our parent and tot classes, as well as our kinder tumble and cheer classes, provide very young children with the valuable experience of learning in a group scenario while exploring all the amazing things their bodies can do. Fall 2019 will also see new leveled group tumbling classes that offer children the opportunity to train with friends on the exact tumbling skills they are working hard to achieve.
In the competitive side of the gym, we have 18 teams, ranging from ages 3-18. We are proud to run the largest competitive cheer program in London, enabling CheerStrike to have a team at every age and level. Our teams will compete all over southwestern Ontario from November through to April. In March, we’ll be taking a few teams to Florida to compete for the first time at the UCA Championships. We look forward to seeing all our teams rise to being their very best all season long!
