Walk with a Pro at Manulife LPGA Classic
On Wednesday, June 3, seven local girls traveled to Whistle Bear Golf Club in Cambridge to spend a day with the LPGA stars. As part of the CN Future Links golf program, the girls received the opportunity to walk the 5th hole with an LPGA star. Each girl had the chance to chat with a star and hit the pros’ birdie putt (a few birdies were made). Thank you to Golf Canada for the day, as the girls left with many memories and autographs!
Local coach called on to assist Team Ontario
The Golf Association of Ontario has tabbed local golf coach Brian Gallant to assist with coaching Team Ontario at the 2015 Williamson Cup. The event sees golf associations from the northeast part of North America send a team of four players to participate in the two-round tournament. This year the event is being hosted by the Golf Association of Philadelphia at Saucon Valley Country Club in Pennsylvania.
“I feel very fortunate to be recognized by the GAO and to be provided this opportunity,” said Gallant. “I look forward to supporting each individual in an effort to have a strong team environment.”
