The 2017 competitive golf season has been full of great experiences and success for London golfers – on the local, provincial and national levels. Some highlights:

Tyson Tour – In the junior division, Cam Kellett and Colin Warren dominated, earning six straight victories, including Colin’s win of the two-day Les Thomas event, and Cam’s sweep of three titles (Highland, Forest City and St. Thomas) in one week! The juvenile division was highlighted by Aidan Smith winning events at Tarandowah and Highland.

Provincial Level – Cam and Carson competed at the Provincial Junior Boys championship at the Rock Golf Club in July. In August, Grant Cunningham and Gabrielle Harrison participated in the Provincial Pee Wee Championship at Puslinch Lake Golf Course. Both had a great experience, and Gabrielle finished 6th.

Team London visits Seaforth – Eleven junior players aged 10 to 14 participated in the Seaforth Junior Invitational on August 13. Highlights included Paige winning the net division for girls, and Bennett winning the net division for boys.

This coming year at the London Junior Golf Development Centre, juniors can participate in the following programs:

  • Active Start (under 6)
  • Learn to Golf Junior League (ages 6 to 14)
  • Summer PGA Golf Camps (ages 7 to 14)
  • Team London New Competitor, Development and Advanced Teams (ages 10 to 22)
