The 2015 Tankard is now in the record books, and the team of Mark Kean, Mat Camm, David Mathers and Scott Howard will represent us proudly at the 2015 Brier in Calgary.
We couldn’t have scripted a better event, with local talent competing for the coveted Purple Heart in the final, which was edge-of-your-seat exciting. It was a fitting end to a wildly successful event.
Our attendance was the largest in recent memory, as we sold about 13,000 seats for the week, with Friday, Saturday and Sunday technically sold out!
We want to thank all the Sponsors for their support of the Tankard. We need them to make the event a success, especially the Dairy Farmers of Ontario who came on late as our Title Sponsor.
We also want to thank the communities for all the support that Dorchester and Ingersoll provided.
The fans were amazing and passionate, which made our job as organizers easy. The athletes were professional, kind and accommodating, and they allowed us the opportunity to make the event a great show!
Our 250 volunteers could not be prouder, and the Ontario Curling Association (OCA) had great things to say about each and every one of them.
Once we balance our finances, we hope to have money to fund some of the many capital projects on our Planning Committees’ agenda at the Ingersoll District Curling Club, and also support more youth-related activities!
