In an age of declining membership at many sports and service clubs, the London Curling Club (LCC) is thriving! In fact, membership has been increasing over the last few years. Why?

For starters, we think the friendliness and inclusiveness of our members is huge in attracting and keeping curlers at the club. The LCC is often called ‘a small-town club in the big city,’ and this friendly feel certainly keeps curlers coming back.

A big strength of the club is also our education and coaching programs. We bring in school groups year-round, and we host the high school competitive league. We hold clinics throughout the year, which are open to members and the public at large.

We have a Tuesday evening ‘Learn-to-Curl’ league that welcomes new members all winter long. We also have leagues for children and teenagers. All of these are coached and encouraged by enthusiastic LCC members.

There are leagues for university/college groups, and for adults of all ages and abilities.

A big attraction for newcomers is our policy of allowing people to join at ANY point in the year, September-March, with membership dues pro-rated.

We have corporate leagues and sometimes rent the ice on a Saturday for a team-building event or party.
But the big draw remains our members, who bring out their neighbours, relatives and friends to share what they enjoy – fitness, friends, and fun, fun, fun!
