AM Roofing has long been active in the community, supporting the Children’s Health Foundation to the tune of more than $93,000 over the years. In May, the company got involved as a major sponsor for the first annual GOT GAME Street Hockey Tournament at Victoria Park – and they brought with them the legendary former Toronto Maple Leaf Darryl Sittler.
Sittler signed mini sticks for $5 for participants and attendees at the tournament, and in the end helped raise $3,000 for the Children’s Health Foundation. Andrew Mischuk, AM Roofing’s local owner, and his team then matched that donation for the great cause.
“We’re always happy to support and participate in community events, including sports and hockey events of all kinds,” Mischuk said. “And especially when we have the opportunity to support the Children’s Health Foundation, which is a cause near and dear to our hearts. The GOT GAME Street Hockey Tournament was a blast, and we were thrilled not only to support the event but also a wonderful charitable organization in the process.
“Darryl was a big hit with the attendees. And why not? He’s a Leafs legend!”
