Last spring, Jeff Romkey, the Clinic Director at ReActive Physiotherapy, started working with Canada Ski Cross World Cup athlete David Duncan after a fall the Londoner had taken in his last world cup race. Shortly after, Romkey was approached to work with the team as a travelling physiotherapist, and he jumped at the opportunity.
Romkey traveled to Saas Fee, Switzerland for a training camp in September, and more recently was in Pitztal, Austria and Val Thorens, France for two Ski Cross World Cups.
Throughout the last few months, Romkey has had the opportunity to learn a great deal about the sport and he’s enjoying working with world class athletes. The Canadian Ski Cross Team is a very successful team having won Gold and Silver medals in the Women’s Ski Cross in Sochi.
After several years of working solely as a clinician at ReActive Physiotherapy, Romkey has enjoyed working with a team, especially at the world class level.
