This coming June, Dallas will host the 2018 NHL Entry Draft, and based on the midterm rankings released by NHL Central Scouting, the London Knights may be represented very well in the Lone Star State. The ‘midterm rankings’ list is comprised of the top eligible prospects for the draft, and amongst North American players five skaters and one goaltender appear for the Knights.

Appearing at No. 5 amongst North American skaters is 6-foot-2 defenseman, and Knights captain, Evan Bouchard. An outstanding defender with an extremely intelligent offensive mind, Bouchard represented the Knights in the CHL Top Prospects game, where he recorded a record-tying 4 assists in the game.

Next, at No. 43, is Alec Regula. Standing at 6-foot-4, 190 pounds, the Knights’ top pairing rearguard has the size and the hockey sense needed to compete with the pros.

Spot No. 91 belongs to the Knights’ 2016 first round pick, Liam Foudy. A centre with astounding speed, Foudy also has a streaky scoring touch. He also represented the Knights in the 2018 CHL Top Prospects game.

At No. 130 is Billy Moskal. Last season’s GOJHL rookie of the year, Moskal is a well-rounded player that isn’t afraid to get physical.

Finally, at No.132, is Nathan Dunkley. Dunkley, acquired by the Knights during January’s trade deadline, has a strong ability to generate points, and is an excellent player in the defensive end.

To conclude the list of Knights players, goaltender Jordan Kooy is ranked No. 13 amongst North American netminders. Kooy possesses the size and ability that have allowed him to steal close games throughout the season.

The Knights would certainly be happy with six of their players being selected in the upcoming draft, as would the entire city of London.

The 2018 NHL Entry Draft will be held at American Airlines Arena in Dallas, Texas, from June 22-23.
