Bowlerama Royale owners, Brenda Dottermann and Mark Decman, started the new year off with a major change. After self-managing the facility since their purchase in 2015, the pair were very pleased to announce the hiring of Chris Mortlock as general manager. Mortlock’s role of overseeing the staff and facilities through ‘fresh eyes’ has already been a welcome and required change.
A budding bowling prodigy, Mortlock has an extensive background in business, consulting, sales and hospitality management, including a smidge of experience with AMF in the early 90’s. On Feb. 1, Chris showed up on scene in the form of a ‘life-sized cut-out’ in the foyer, and he has been personally creating a stir ever since.
Mortlock, Decman and Dottermann have numerous events planned for Bowlerama Royale in the coming weeks and months. In addition to league nights, adult and youth tournaments, and fundraising events, there are also many special events planned.
New to the roster will be Community and Theme Nights, Show and Shines, and other Fun Nights, including the monthly ‘Whose LANE is it anyway? IMPROV Night.’
The management team is looking forward to a fun-filled future. As Mortlock says, “Our vision for the business is a party! When it comes to hosting a party, we always want to make sure our house is ready for our guests. From food preparation, beverage selection and facility management, we are getting that party ready!”
When you are looking for a great party, and family fun, come to the east side for the Royale treatment! See you there!
