Why dragonboating? Imagine 20 paddlers in a sleek, narrow boat. The drummer calls to take it away, and instantly each paddler moves in unison. The boat lifts and surges with each stroke as the team becomes one. It’s not just about the race, it’s about the challenge. It’s about giving it your all.
The Pendragons are a mixed gender competitive dragonboat team here in London, Ontario with members of all ages and all levels of experience.
Our main goal is to always strive to progress in our level of competitiveness. In the past five years, we have steadily increased our performance, and we are now starting to attract attention from National Team coaches.
We are always looking for fit, team-oriented and competitive people to join us on the water! Your first practice is always free!
During the paddling season (early spring to late fall), we practice Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30-7:30 pm and on Saturday mornings from 8-9 am. Personal fitness maintenance is also very important, and each team member is responsible for their performance.
