The employees at McFarlan Rowlands Insurance Brokers put value in supporting the London community through charities and events. We try to participate in or sponsor as many events as we can and support a healthy, active lifestyle while having fun.
This spring was a busy time for McFarlan Rowlands community involvement. A group of McFarlan Rowlands employees participated in the YMCA Sweat for Strong Kids Charity Cycling Event at the Covent Garden Market in London. The funds raised at this event enable kids and families to access YMCA programs and services regardless of their financial ability to pay.
One-third of the YMCA’s members rely on this fundraiser to give them access to swimming lessons, health and fitness memberships, and also provide opportunities to go to camp. This was McFarlan Rowlands’ second year participating, and it looks like it will turn into an annual event!
For many years, McFarlan Rowlands has been a strong supporter of Forest City Road Races, sponsoring the half-marathon. This event supports the Thames Valley Children’s Centre. TVCC is a regional rehabilitation centre for children and young adults with physical disabilities, communication disorders, developmental delays, and autism spectrum disorders, living primarily in Southwestern Ontario. Congrats to all participants!
