London Lynx Ringette had a very successful year with teams winning medals at the regional, provincial and national levels.

At the regional level, the Lynx had 11 teams competing at the year-end Regional Championship tournament in Guelph on March 27-29. Seven of those teams came home with medals (two gold, two silver, and three bronze), which made for not only a highly successful weekend but also a great culmination to a fun year of ringette.

The Lynx hosted the Provincial AA Championships (March 12-15) this year, and four London teams competed at the event. Two of those squads came away as champions — the U14AA team and the U16AA team. Both teams went on to compete as Team Ontario at their respective National Championships.

The U14 Team Ontario went to Moncton, New Brunswick for the Eastern Canadian Championships, and placed 4th overall after a very successful round robin.

The U16 Team Ontario team traveled to Fort McMurray, Alberta to compete in their Canadian Championships. After an impressive 8-0 record in round robin play, they went on to win their quarterfinal and semi-final games before finally losing to Team Manitoba in the final. The Lynx came out on the wrong end of an exciting 6-4 contest, but they went home with a national silver medal.
