Cleats for Kids London is entering its 3-year anniversary this May, and already 2015 is shaping up to be our biggest year to date. We are very pleased to announce that we have officially registered as an Incorporated Not-for-Profit and will have our charitable status very shortly. This is extremely exciting, as it will allow us continued growth and open up opportunities to further grow athletics to families that struggle financially with enrolling their children in youth sports.

For all of us at Cleats for Kids, we recognize the value of sports on a young person’s life. It is that understanding and deep-rooted passion that forces us to want to see all kids be able to enjoy their chosen sport without the undue  financial burden placed on parents struggling to get by. To date, in the London area, we have been able to give back well over 150 pairs of cleats, more than 25 sets of shin pads, and a few other small items such as football gloves and baseball gloves.

We have also had over 100 participants in our free east end football camp, run with the help of former and current CFL players such as Daryl Stephenson and Craig Butler, as well as a special guest appearance from Western Head Coach Greg Marshall. We have also partnered with the Jays Care Foundation to donate over 200 pairs of cleats to Toronto’s inner city. In addition to all this, we were able to raise over $4,000 to fund two years of a young lady’s cheer fees and have sponsored four athletes into Western’s Football Clinic.
