Maya Nolan isn’t like any other 12-year-old girl. She’s a special young girl with a larger than life dream. Maya was selected as one of 25 students around the world to attend Ecole Nationale de Cirque (ENC), the National Circus School in Montreal.

She has aspired to attend this elite school from a young age, and she wakes up every morning with a specific goal: the dream of one day performing in front of thousands every night while travelling the world with Cirque du Soleil. She is so determined to make this dream a reality that at the delicate age of twelve she has moved away from home and is living in residence at ENC, training full time as a grade eight student.

Maya balances her training with her school work while staying inspired by exploring the beautiful city of Montreal. Even though she may be living a different life than her friends back home in London, Ontario, she’s still an energetic and fun-loving 12-year-old girl. Her favourite way to relax after a long day of school and training is to snapchat her friends back home and paint her nails girly designs.

Maya is a very passionate and talented artist, and she always rises above expectations in every aspect. She is truly determined to one day follow her dream by performing professionally around the world in a cirque company. Maya believes that anything is possible and dreams really do come true.
