AM Roofing is a dedicated supporter of local children’s charities. In March, the company teamed up with Darryl Sittler and organized and hosted two special fundraising events to raise awareness and funds for children’s health initiatives.
One event was held at the Guelph Storm arena, while the other was hosted during a London Knights game at Budweiser Gardens. Sittler, the former captain of the Toronto Maple Leafs, signed mini sticks that were sold to fans, while AM Roofing staffers and supporters ‘passed the bucket’ through the stands and held a silent auction. Funds raised in London went to the Children’s Health Foundation – the fundraising organization for Children’s Hospital, London Health Sciences Centre, Thames Valley Children’s Centre and Children’s Health Research Institute.
There was an after skate in London at Budweiser Gardens with Darryl Sittler and some lucky winners of AM Roofing’s online auction bid. London Knights fans were generous during the ‘pass the bucket’ event. Between the two events, the AM Roofing family raised over 35,000 for the local children’s charities. More than 50 volunteers from AM Roofing (office staff, labourers, shinglers, sales staff, owners and managers) helped put on the events. Andrew Mischuk was very proud of his team in London, who truly helped impact children and families across Southwestern Ontario who access the expert care at the Children’s Hospital.
With support from donors like AM Roofing, Children’s Health Foundation funds the purchase of specialized equipment and value-added programs and services, which impact thousands of families at Children’s Hospital.
