It’s one of the largest senior fitness associations in Canada, and the sports offerings include activities such as hockey, biking, curling, volleyball, darts, and carpet bowling, to name only a few. Add in social functions like picnics and dances, as well as day trips and multi-day vacations, and there really is something for everyone at London’s Huff n’ Puff Seniors Fitness Association.
The organization invites people aged 55 and over and their spouses (who may also join at the age of 50) to
participate in a wide range of activities (37 in total!) to encourage fitness and social contact. And it’s a big hit with the community. Huff n’ Puff, which has grown immensely since its humble beginnings 27 years ago, now boasts more than 2,000 members. The organization is centred at North London Optimist Community Centre, but hosts several activities at other sites as well.
