Owen Zimmer
Lambeth Minor Hockey
Owen Zimmer has enjoyed a wonderful career in the Ontario Minor Hockey Association, being part of several tournament winning teams while earning multiple most valuable player awards along the way. Last season, he captained his Lambeth team (which was full of inexperienced players) and helped guide them to a tournament win in Buffalo, New York where he scored a hat trick in the final and won MVP. The highlight of his career so far is being awarded the W.A. Evans Memorial Award, ‘presented annually to the Lambeth Minor Hockey player who shows ability, leadership, and is academically sound — an all-around upstanding junior citizen.’
Outside of hockey, Zimmer has run cross country and track and field, and competed as a member of his high school football team. He graduated with honours from Lambeth Public School, where he played the violin in the school’s orchestra and also took part in the acting productions.
