It began eight years ago on a backyard deck. But the Turkey Bowl has since evolved to become a huge hospitality, networking and charitable event. This year, we crushed our goal (and record) and raised $30,000.
Every year we dream it bigger and better, and every year we make it happen.
The Turkey Bowl is a special day for our business partners, as we invite them to connect with us on a mission to raise money for Childcan, an amazing organization that helps families cope with childhood cancer.
Our biggest transformation came from partnering with BELFOR Property Restoration as our Signature Event Partner and Host. That move has substantially helped take this event to another level, and we are very grateful for their continued partnership.
The Turkey Bowl is a fun day with a special purpose, and it is proof that many hands joining together can accomplish something truly outstanding.
In 2014, we launched an online fundraising drive connected to the mission (though) separate from the event. We had substantial promotion and partnership with Classic Rock, 98.1 FREE FM, and Holiday Inn as our overnight partner, and we welcomed the Forest City Volleyball Club 16U Girls Green Team as our guest hospitality team for the event. They had a tremendous experience and earned funding for the team through their participation.
We were blessed on event day to receive special excess donations of $1,500 from CARSTAR London East, $1,500 from CARSTAR London West, and $3,000 from Gore Mutual Insurance Company. We are extremely proud and grateful to have such fantastic partners. Together, we raised $30,000 in one amazing day!
