For the third consecutive year, McFarlan Rowlands will proudly be sponsoring the London Run for Ovarian Cancer (the 12th annual), which will be held on May 11, 2014. The run is a great local event that raises awareness and funds for the Translational Ovarian Cancer Research Program at the London Health Sciences Centre.
Since the run began, over $1 million has been raised for the fight against ovarian cancer. All of the money raised stays in the Forest City through partnerships with the London Regional Cancer Program and Western University’s gynecological division.
This year’s run is taking place on Mother’s Day, May 11, 2014, at the Springbank Gardens Bandshell (formerly Wonderland Gardens). The event includes a children’s play area, a silent auction, music and a barbecue, as well as a 1km walk and a 5km run.
We encourage individuals and businesses alike to sponsor the event, support a runner or come out and partake in this great local event!
