The Thames Valley Trail Association Inc. (TVTA) is a charitable, non-profit organization based in London, Ontario. Its 400 members are interested in encouraging walking and hiking as recreation for individuals of all ages, and in fostering appreciation and conservation of our natural environment through the development and maintenance of marked trails.
The Thames Valley Trail is a 115 km trail that follows the Thames River along most of the route. It links the Elgin Trail in the south with the Avon Trail in the north.
Hikes vary from a one-hour stroll to five-hour treks and are led by trained hike leaders. The association celebrated its 40th anniversary last October. It will be part of Trails Open in London, Ontario on June 14 and 15, 2014.
Check out the TVTA website at www.tvta.ca for more information about the history of the trail, membership, guidebooks and upcoming events. TVTA invites you to TAKE A HIKE.
