It’s a great story of teamwork and partnership to make a huge community impact. Preferred Insurance joined the ‘Rock Back to School’ program again for 2016 with partner Classic Rock, FREE 98.1FM, and invited business partners to help meet a lofty goal of 100 backpacks loaded with school supplies.
With great partners joining the mission and their generosity, the goal was surpassed again in 2016 with a total of 110 loaded backpacks. That brings the 4-year total for Preferred Insurance and partners to 362 backpacks full of school supplies for children in need. Thanks to a bulk discount purchase offer from partner Real Canadian Superstore – Oakridge, the total value of these school supplies far exceeds the funds committed. They are distributed by program partners The Salvation Army and The Thames Valley Education Foundation.
As a special bonus part of the program, Preferred Insurance hosts a special day at their office where they invite participating partners for lunch, complete with special guests and a Live On-Location broadcast with radio partner Classic Rock, FREE 98.1FM to acknowledge and celebrate their joint achievement and success.
