The London Volleyball Club Fire U16 Heat is a competitive volleyball club that plays in tournaments all over the province. Six members of the team have been playing together since grade 7, but the team is only in its second year. Despite this, the team has been very successful and has recently won silver in a U16 tournament and bronze in a U17 tournament.

The team has a lot of experience; the bulk of the team won bronze in the 2012 provincial and national championships. Eight of the players competed in the 2013 World Children’s Games in Windsor. Those players competed against some of the best players in the world in front of over 700 fans.

Heading into the new season, the team has plenty of goals, including winning the provincial and national championships. They’re also hoping to travel to Daytona Beach Florida to compete in the 2014 Floridafest tournament, which features some of the best teams in the US. If the team can medal at the event, it would be a huge accomplishment. From a long-term perspective, the team is hoping to produce some of the best players at the university and college levels.
