What a way to wrap up the season! Twenty-two teams, 257 Competitive athletes, 186 ‘Feed the Fire’ athletes, and 201 LVC Timbit athletes!
The annual LVC year-end Palasad Party marked the end of Year #5 for the London Volleyball Club. And what a successful year it was! The 2016-2017 season saw another 10 athletes invited to the Team Ontario HPC, four Team Ontario beach athletes, five athletes invited to the Team Canada Camp, one 16U Team Canada selection, and one Canada Games selection. And one athlete, Maddie Lethbridge, earned the Evelyn Holick Award for top 18U Female athlete in the OVA.
The LVC Pathway was cemented via the hiring of Pathway Coordinator, Chris Lawson, and a model for the future was created. Year #5 also marked LVC’s alignment with Volleyball Canada, through the partnership in running the Volleyball Canada Excellence Program and the LVC Physical Testing database to monitor athlete development.
With summer programming already underway, athletes are encouraged to enjoy their summers! Get on the beach! Have some fun! If you’re enrolled in our summer programming, we look forward to working with you to improve your game ahead of next season.
