The Mount Brydges Magic Blades were formed in 2008 and have been growing ever since! As part of the Mount Brydges Skating Club, the Magic Blades, a synchronized skating club, now has five teams and more than 60 skaters. Coach Chrissy Kernaghan has a deep passion for synchronized skating, and her teams have skated for the Strathroy Rockets, the Sarnia Sting and sold-out crowds at London Knights games.

At competitions, the teams have enjoyed tremendous success. The Magic Blades brought home a bronze medal at the Ontario championships in 2010, and a silver medal in 2013. Since their creation, the Magic Blades have brought home nine gold medals, nine silver medals and three bronze.

In November 2012, the Magic Blades were successful in their application for a Trillium Grant. The $12,400 grant will enable the club to purchase dress sets, team wear and extra coaching, and create a storage unit. The success of the Magic Blades is due in large part to the great families that support our skaters and our teams.
