21The 18th annual Lexus of London Golf Classic was a fantastic success. Held in support of prostate cancer research at London Health Sciences Centre, the event, which was held on Monday, June 25 at the prestigious Oaks Golf and Country Club, continued to show why it’s one of the most successful charity golf events in southwestern Ontario.

The tournament featured 131 participating teams. Celebrities – local and otherwise – included Brett Cleverdon, Candice Olson, and Nick Paparella, and the day included several on-course activities for some impressive prizes – a travel voucher for $5,000, a 2018 Harley-Davidson, a 2018 Lexus NX 300, and a trip for two to the Masters, to name just a few.

At the annual Gala, on the Sunday night (June 24), more than 500 people attended, and the highest auction item was a Lexus lease for a year which sold for over $8,000.

In other words, it was another successful event for a great cause, and added to the more than $1.4 million that was raised in the first 17 tournaments for prostate cancer research.
