The St. Thomas Soccer Club (STSC) has been diligently planning the next steps of its continued progression. With the Annual General Meetings recently behind them, the new STSC Council has put in place an exciting and progressive plan for the 2015 season. The STSC will be formally announcing the appointment of Ian McClurg, owner of 1v1 Soccer FC, as the club’s new Technical Advisor.
In addition to the technical leadership Ian will provide, the Club will also be adding a staff of Technical Staff Coaches to execute the technical plan throughout the program. This progressive model will see four of these Technical Staff Coaches work with the players and coaches throughout the various levels of the club.
“This is an excellent next step for a program that has seen significant investment over the past few seasons,” said STSC President, Robin Granger. “We definitely feel like this will accelerate the growth of our players over the next few seasons, and strengthen the program we offer to our membership.”
“We are all really excited about what this will mean for the Youth Competitive program as a whole,” added Youth Competitive Director, Robert Meth. “A dedicated Technical Staff Coach for our competitive teams should see an immediate benefit, and there are long-term benefits of having players coming out of our Development stream with a higher base of keys skills.”
