At the time of this writing, the 2018 season continues to wind down for the London Mens Baseball League (LMBL), with playoffs just around the corner. As the season has progressed, we’ve seen some separation in the standings, as teams have been jockeying for playoff positioning. Although we’re a recreational league, most players are still passionate about their love of baseball, and they want to put their best foot forward when they step on the diamond. In other words, things can heat up down the stretch!

Playoff finals are scheduled for Sunday, September 23 at Dan Pulham Memorial Field, with action kicking off at noon (B Championship final), followed by the A Championship Final at 2:45pm, and the A Consolation Final at 5:30pm. We will be hosting an on-site BBQ and concession for all players, families, and fans – along with music and baseball-themed tunes for all to enjoy. Come check us out and join in the festivities to see what we’re all about!

Following the close of the season, the final wrap-up will be our Annual Dinner and Awards Banquet, held October 19 at the Willows Golf and Country Club. This event is always a fun time, as players and spouses enjoy a fine meal and the Executive presents trophies and discusses league operations (both present and future). Throw in some door prizes and raffle draws and you have an evening not to be missed! For more information, check out our website at www.lmblbaseball.ca.

The London Mens Baseball League is an ‘over 30’ men’s league based in London, Ontario (baseball, not softball or slo-pitch!). We play most games on Sundays, from May to September, at locations including Labatt Park, Dan Pulham Field, Byron, and Dorchester. Our league ranges in age from 30 to 80!
