Thank you!
MANY thanks to all the House League, Development and Competitive volunteers that came out again this year! We know many of your lawns go un-kept, your holidays are often delayed, and you borrow time from work and your families in order to gift players with soccer. We appreciate your choices and commitment to the kids in this important piece of their social and physical development! THANK-YOU for helping the cycle continue!
Congratulations!
In speaking of inspiration, development and commitment, we would be remiss if we did not offer our sincere congratulations to this summer’s local World Cup star and Nor’West lifer, Jessie Fleming!
We are incredibly proud of this humble family and their passion for soccer. Like so many Nor’Westies, Jessie Fleming started her soccer life on Saturday mornings in our U5 program (known as our Active Start program now). Little more than a toddler at the time, she was coached by novice parent volunteer, John Fleming, who coached her house league and competitive Nor’West teams throughout, and continues to volunteer his time for the U21 Nor’West Wildcats (between travels to support Jessie in her World Cup adventures!)
Wildcats Roar!
Please come out and support the 2015 Wildcats this summer in the U21 league as they defend their Ontario Cup Championship!
Women’s World Cup
By the time this goes to print, the 2015 Women’s World Cup will have ended … Of course, it was an amazing tournament, with Team Canada carrying as many as TEN Ontario players (out of 23 selected); what a terrific legacy and inspiration for us all. Soccer pride will carry on!
