January 11 to January 13 2019, The London Devilettes won the Bantam hockey tournament in Wilmot Ontario Canada.  The Devilettes came out strong only losing one game and beating Waterloo 3-0 in the finals. This is the second of 3 tournaments that these girls have played this season so far, It’s really fun for these teams to see other teams from all over the province and sometimes even the United States, which makes It not easy to win these tournaments as a lot of great teams.
London Devilettes goaltender Kennedy Thorne picked up her third shutout in the last 3 games to win the tournament.  Kennedy has only been playing Ice hockey for 3 years, Half way through her first season she decided to try playing goalie and she never looked back, Now in her second full season with the Devilettes she got her impressive 10th shutout of the year. Kennedy also plays Ice hockey with boys the  red circle league to keep her busy over the winter.
The London Devilettes who are coached by Shane Harkness have been playing well all season but for most of these girls it was their first ever tournament win.  This is the second time this season the Devilettes have made it to the finals in a tournament but only their first victory. The players, Coaches and parents are looking forward to the big London Tournament coming up end of January.  Devilettes forward Skylar Leboldus Said ” We have a really good team this year thanks to our coaches and hard work from our players, We want to be competitive when we host the tournament in London but there is a lot of great teams coming here that weekend”  London hosts a tournament every year, this year there will be over 180 teams playing in all different age groups all over the city.
