What sort of impact has Dave Leff had on the West London Minor Hockey Association (WLMHA)? Just ask some of his colleagues, and they’ll tell you that the man who just completed three years as president of the Association did so in admirable fashion, ensuring that numerous youngsters had the opportunity to experience hockey in a top-notch organization.

“Under Dave’s leadership, West London Minor Hockey has continued to deliver the best possible hockey experience to our players and their families,” says Spencer Noonan, a fellow long-time board member of the Association. “Along the way, he has always had the ability to lead when needed and seek input from others, when required, to make the organization the best it can be.”

Leff recently decided to step away from his role on the West London Board after serving for five years (including three as president). During that time, he was a key player in developing the Association to become one of the best minor hockey programs in the city for youngsters who love to play the game. During his tenure, the WLMHA was able to reduce fees across all age groups while increasing membership. The club’s Tyke / IP program was the best in the Alliance, Noonan says, and the West London program has continued to be ‘the gold standard.’

“Dave has always been a passionate supporter of West London Hockey, whether it’s been assisting on the bench for numerous teams, volunteering his time on the board, and attending countless GLHA and Alliance meetings. He has certainly always represented West London Hockey’s values.”
