The London Mini Stars is a soccer training academy for boys and girls aged 2-7. The academy features highly-trained coaches who focus on learning, development and having fun. The academy features indoor and outdoor sessions at three locations; East, West, and Southwest. There are also three divisions offered by the academy; the Tiny division (ages 2-4), the Junior division (ages 4-5), and the Premier division (ages 6-7). Players in each division are provided with a full uniform, which includes shorts, socks, and a personalized jersey. Players also receive a soccer ball and a team photo.
The Tiny division introduces young players to the game with 10 weeks of 45-minute sessions. The first part of the session involves introducing soccer “skills and drills”, followed by a game.
The Junior division is a 12-week, 60 minute session. The program is aimed at teaching children how to kick the ball without using their hands, running toward the correct goal post, good sportsmanship, being a good teammate and learning how to pass the ball.
The Premier division consists of a one-hour weekly training session followed by a game later in the week. The program aims to teach children the proper way to kick and dribble the ball, understand possessions, develop basic techniques, and learn to work together as a team.
The academy features summer programs, which include half day, full day, and full summer programs. For more information about London Mini Stars, please visit www.ministars.ca.
