The London Aquatic Club celebrated their very successful 2017-18 swimming year with their annual Awards Banquet at the Hellenic Community Centre on October 21.

The club is one of London’s longest-standing and most prolific sports organizations, having produced champion swimmers and fine ambassadors for the city of London since 1947.

Of the many accolades bestowed upon our 250+ swimmers at the banquet, some of the major awards include: The Megan Holliday Spirit Award, donated by the Holliday family through the London Community Foundation in memory of their amazing daughter, a national team member and double bronze medalist at the 1989 Pan-American Games; The Paul Midgley Award of Excellence, which goes to the top swimmer in the club (for the 5th year in succession it was Maggie MacNeil); and the inaugural Ken Fitzpatrick True Sport Award, donated by Londoner and 1984 Canadian Olympic Swim team captain Ken Fitzpatrick.
