The London Scorpions Girls Select program, which is part of the Southwest London Girls Fastball house league program, provides players with an opportunity to practice and compete at a higher level. In addition to their regular house league schedule, the Select teams compete throughout the summer in one-day weekend tournaments against teams from across the province, culminating with a Provincial Championship.

Southwest London Girls Fastball is the only Association in London to offer an opportunity to play house league Select in all age groups (Mite, Squirt, Novice, Bantam and Midget/Jr). Select teams enter OSSTA tournaments, which are held throughout Ontario. Southwest successfully hosted OSSTA tournaments in each Division last year, and the organization will do so once again this season.

Southwest works hard at developing players of all ages through pitching and off-season clinics and off-season workouts, and it has paid off as the London Scorpions teams won many medals at tournaments last summer. The Scorpions’ Mite team even finished as the 4th best team in the province.

To be eligible for the London Scorpions Girls Select team, a player must be registered with Southwest London Girls Fastball. If interested, players should check the website (southwestlondonbaseball.com) or email the Convenor (swgirlsfastballconvenor@gmail.com) for additional information.
