Rushil Bhat has been playing baseball since age of 6.  He started playing AAA T Ball  at North York organization and truly had fun being in the field . As a child he  spent most of of his time in baseball diamonds either playing or watching his elder brother Sashank play ball.  So needless to say that he had huge advantage of learning baseball  skills from different approaches.
As Bhat’s family had relocated several times, Rushil was part of various Baseball teams i.e, Whitby,  Pickering Ajax Cubs and recently London Badgers . Rushil progressively improved his  pitching mechanism as he continued to work hard  and  had some excellent coaches along his side. Being part of various leagues,   Rushil  quickly built his baseball  network  along with necessary adaptable skills which is  critical for transitioning to university. Rushil’s hard work and talent was recognized by his coaches and was selected to be part of TBA and  EOBA  All Star tournaments were he has won Multiple MVP and Pitcher of  the year awards . In 2018 he represented Team Canada at Sunbelt Oklahoma Baseball Tournament. This  was an amazing experience as all the players stayed with host families and he got to compete at a higher . Recently another accolade for Rushil was that he was part of 18 u London badgers Nationals Tournament where  they won GOLD.

You can often find Rushil in gym,  baseball diamonds swinging his bat, practicing his pitching mechanics and in the spare time umpiring baseball games.  Rushil has a track record  for his academics as he was  in   honour roll throughout his school years . He currently a attends  business program at A B Lucas Higher Secondary  and is  part of  Viking  Volleyball , Baseball , DECA and Badminton Teams . Rushil loves to play any team sports and compete with a winning attitude. He volunteers at YMCA as youth coordinator  and also organized a team build day with friends and family at Habitat for Humanity in London, Ontario.
There were times when Rushil’s physical  size was a disadvantage to him , however his resilience, hard work  and determination allowed him to move forward and  reach his goal of being recruited at NCAA Division 1 level.

We wish Rushil all the best as he continues to chase his dream of baseball !
