Remember when your first experience with volleyball was getting hit with a plastic white ball? Well, Timbits has helped change that! Teachers are constantly asking us, “Where do you get your light volleyballs?” The first goal is definitely having fun at LVC Timbits as your child participates in modified skill-based activities and games.
Meanwhile, theme days such as “Crazy Hair Day” also keep athletes (such as Maggie and Molly) coming back year after year. The LVC Timbits program has a unique long-term structure. Your child is not only guaranteed immediate fun in a learning environment, but you will also witness a mentoring program that introduces young LVC competitive athletes to the wonderful world of coaching. Your young athlete’s future is being built before your eyes! You have chosen LVC for your athlete, and LVC is securing their volleyball future.
This past fall we had record registration numbers for LVC Timbits (ages 5-9), and with the next session right around the corner, we are excited to see you back in the gym in 2015 while we continue to grow! For just $60, our eight-week program begins on January 25 and runs each Sunday with two sessions (9:30-10:30am and 10:30-11:30am) at Saunders Secondary School.
There was also a massive outpouring of interest for our second youth development program this fall, with almost 100 athletes registering for Feed the Fire (ages 10-14). The wizard himself, Joe Wrigley, took over “FTF” and helped it swell into the hallways of Saunders! This program runs on Sundays as well (12:00-1:30pm), and utilizes a “learn through play” model where athletes learn, apply and hone their skills and understanding of volleyball through mini-games where they can develop organically in our fun-first environment.
