Fall tryouts ahead

Eurostar alumni, Kian Newell (99), right, with Coach Luka Shaqiri. Kian, who played this past year for the U18 Atlético Sanluqueño CF in Cadiz, Spain, spent his summer home in the London area training with Eurostar. He returned to Spain to rejoin his Spanish club in late August. Atlético Sanluqueño qualified for La Liga first division action this coming season, and Kian will be playing against other top academy teams through 2017/18. We wish him well. Three other 2000-born Eurostar players are preparing for tryouts with other academy teams in Italy later this fall.

As most OSA league seasons start to wind down, Eurostar teams will continue to enjoy outdoor field action as part of the Soccer Academy Alliance of Canada (SAAC) league, which wraps up in early November. As most OSA league seasons start to wind down, Eurostar teams will continue to enjoy outdoor field action as part of the Soccer Academy Alliance of Canada (SAAC) league, which wraps up in early November. Planning is progressing well for our fall/winter program, and training will continue uninterrupted 3 to 4 times a week for most age groups. We look forward to moving to our indoor turf facility in November – the Eurostar Training Centre.

In the meantime, fall tryouts are now available over the months of September and October. Eurostar offers an elite development program focused on an intense mix of technical and tactical skills.
