Registration for another season of baseball is well under way. Eager Beaver Baseball Association (EBBA) has one final in-person opportunity for players to join London’s oldest youth sports program. Registrations will be accepted at the league office, 652 Elizabeth Street, on Saturday, March 28 from 10am-2pm.
House league and competitive teams for players aged 8-22 are offered. The Little Sluggers program for players born in 2010 and 2011, and the Tball program for players born in 2008 and 2009 are also offered. Both Little Sluggers and Tball are again proving to be very popular and are filling up quickly. Registrations are also accepted online and by mail. Only players registered by March 31 are guaranteed placement on a team.
Indoor conditioning clinics began in January. These clinics are offered so that the experienced player can keep their baseball skills sharp, and so that new players can start developing basic skills before hitting the fields in May. So far, turnout has been very high. Coach Ryan Legros has been running the Rookie/Mosquito house league clinics on Monday nights at Louise Arbour P.S.
“We started the beginning of January with over 20 players and every week that number has grown,” Legros said.
PeeWee/Bantam house league clinics are offered on Wednesday nights at John P Robarts P.S. Clinics are also offered for players interested in competitive baseball. Information can be found at the London Tecumsehs website: londontecumsehs.com
